TradeLine for landscapers

On the mower when the phone rings?

The mower's running and the phone rings out. TradeLine texts the caller straight away, asks the address, what they need and how big the area is, and sends you the details. You keep your own number.

Why landscapers lose jobs to missed calls

Landscapers work outdoors with loud machines, often far from the phone. New customers usually ring a few businesses, and the first to reply gets the quote.

Knowing whether it's a mow, new turf or a retaining wall, and roughly how big, lets you price the visit before you even call back.

The texts your customer gets

These are the questions TradeLine sends for landscapers, word for word. The business and the names are an example.

If they call, they first hear: "Sorry, Greenline Landscapes can't get to the phone right now. We'll send you a text message in a moment."

Hi, it's Greenline Landscapes. Sorry we missed your call! A few quick questions so Kate can call you back ready. What's your name?

Thanks! What's the address or suburb, and is it a house, unit or business?
15 Wattle Cres Robina, house
What do you need? E.g. mowing, garden tidy, turf, retaining wall, irrigation, paving, or tree work.

Last one: roughly how big is the area, and a good time for Kate to call?

Thanks! Kate has your details and will call you back as soon as possible. Photos help a lot - feel free to text them to this number.

Texts go to callers on Australian mobile numbers. Anyone else (a landline, an overseas number) hears: "Sorry, Greenline Landscapes can't get to the phone right now. Please call back a bit later, or send a text to this number."

An hour later a reminder SMS follows, so no job slips through. If someone calls again within 4 hours, they don't get the questions twice: we just let you know they called again.

How it works

1. Customer rings you

They call your normal mobile, same as always. If you pick up, nothing changes.

2. You can't answer

After about 20 seconds, or if you're on another call, your phone company passes the call to your TradeLine number. Within seconds the caller gets a text from you.

3. You get the job

They answer 4 quick questions by text, and you get one SMS with everything you need to call back ready.

Fair questions

What does TradeLine ask my customers?

Four short questions written for landscapers, one text at a time: name, address, job, size / call time. The answers come to your mobile in one SMS.

Can I change the questions?

On Standard you get the questions shown here. On Pro we set up your own wording for you.

Do I have to change my number?

No. Customers keep calling your normal mobile. TradeLine only steps in when you don't answer.

Does it use AI?

No. Every message is written in advance, so nothing is made up on the fly and nothing weird gets sent in your name.
